Newsbusters reports that Murtha is now whining because folks are calling him a traitor. Murtha's email to democrats, reportedly entitled "Cut the traitor talk", includes the following:

No matter how obvious the mistakes in Iraq become, or how many Americans get fed up, Republicans in Congress and the White House will label you a traitor to your country if you stand up and question them. I hope you will join me in my call to sign my petition to House Republicans. We hope to deliver 50,000 names to the Speaker of the House, asking them to cut the traitor talk and start to get a change of direction in Iraq - if you believe this Republican Congress has abdicated its responsibility long enough, please join us

But the best line of Newsbuster's post can be found in the comments section, written by acaiguana, which states,

Murtha needs a new writer.

"We hope to deliver 50,000 names to the Speaker of the House, asking them to cut the traitor talk ..."

Hoping won't help the Democrats and if they want the traitor talk cut, well -

stop talking like a traitor.

There is something to be said regarding good irony, is there not?
