Murtha and the scientists...

Looks like some world-reknowned scientists will soon be visiting Murtha's home district:

WINDBERScientists the world over will be here next week to learn about bringing research results back to patients and doctors.

As a demonstration of that philosophy, local residents and physicians will have a chance to meet and interact with those scientists during a public forum at Windber Research Institute.

“What we are really trying to do is have people interact with the scientists, ask questions, to sort of demystify some of the issues of science,” institute Executive Director Michael Liebman said.
One of the mysteries being, of course, how an "ex Marine" could turn into a turncoat against soldiers for political gain...[SNIP]
U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Johnstown, is expected to announce new partnerships for the institute during a VIP reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the conference center, spokeswoman Lesa Skotnicki said.

Murtha will also speak during opening ceremonies there from 8 to 9 a.m. Monday.

That ceremony will be followed by the conference keynote address by Dr. Leroy Hood, co-founder and president of the Institute for Systems Biology.
I certatainly would love to be a fly on the wall for that one...will Congressman Murtha utilize this non-related occasion to again sing and dance his four-note samba regarding his vision of a broken army, defeat in Iraq, redeployment to Okinawa, and calling soldiers cold-blooded killers?

It wouldn't suprise me in the least.
